Why it matters

Forty-five days before a local election: 23 candidates, around 30 community organizations, 89 videos — entirely earned traction, zero paid spend, no capital behind it. It validated what it was built to test: once one candidate in a race joined, the others followed almost immediately.
Rebuild completesix months
The pilot also disproved the original assumption — that civic concern itself would be the draw. People need connection and something to do first. So the product was re-centred on cohesion rather than correction: local businesses as a primary stakeholder, discovery engines, in-app reservations, and video-first throughout.

The rebuilt app is finished and has not launched. It was bootstrapped, and by the time it was ready effectively all available capital had concentrated on AI.
